Are You Unique?
Uniqueness is a good thing. If we were all the same, life would be very boring. If we all changed ourselves to suit others' expectations, we would cease to have balance between extremes. If we did not have personal faults, we would not have personal talents. Without individual talents, we would not progress. Consider the inventions and findings of all great scientists, mathematicians, etc. Consider the musical talents of John Lennon and Elvis Presley. I'm sure none of them were exempt from ridicule. I find that people often expect more of others than they do of themselves. Of course, there are those who have an open mind, patience, and tolerance. Perhaps those who don't just stand out more, but it is definitely beneficial to any relationship (whether work or personal) for all parties to have an open mind and tolerance and for talents to be identified and utilized in the most effective way.
